Peter EwartPeter studied Finance and Politics at The University of Strathclyde 1996-2000 where he obtained a BA Honours Degree in Politics.  After graduating he joined KPMG where he worked in the personal tax, financial services tax and PPP Advisory department in their Edinburgh Office. He qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) in 2003.

In the financial services department Peter worked on the retainer and audit of a major retail bank, as well as providing taxation services to a broad range of investment funds and fund management companies.

Peter transferred to the PPP team in KPMG in mid 2003 where he assisted the Project Finance Team on PFI projects – a role he also assumed when he moved to Grant Thornton in 2005.

He has substantial experience of providing tax advice and modelling support for private sector bidders and performing tax reviews of bid submissions for the public sector, as well as providing tax services to the private sector post financial close. Peter has significant experience liaising with the tax authorities.

Peter has experience of working on projects in a number of sectors including Education (including Building Schools for the Future), Healthcare, Waste Management, Defence, Not for Profit and Accommodation Projects.

Peter joined Caledonian Economics in October 2006.
